The Dreamer was one of six projects installed
under Leslie Pritchett’s direction as part of the
Black Rock Arts Foundation’s Civic Arts Program
during the summer of 2007. We were very pleased
to have the opportunity to place works that engendered
conversation and encouraged people to reconsider
the role that public art can play in building community.

“The Black Rock Arts Foundation is changing the way
this city looks at public art, installation by installation.
‘The Dreamer’ is yet another example of the kind
of imaginative artwork that stimulates thoughtful
conversation and enlivens our public spaces.”
~ Gavin Newsom, Mayor of San Francisco
